About the Role
The Customer Solutions Representative is crucial to achieving our mission. This role builds relationships with customers to access workforce services through the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program to expedite employment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers via telephone, virtually, or in-person to assess goals and assist job seekers transitioning to new positions.
- Review and identify job opportunities for customers, providing referrals to qualified candidates.
- Advise customers on the local job market, employment services, resources, educational opportunities, resume development, application completion, interview techniques, and proper dress attire.
- Develop constructive working relationships with internal teams, the public, and external partners.
- Actively seek ways to improve workforce services to meet labor market needs.
- Contribute to Career Center performance goals, including customer service and customer follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with good driving record
- Six months of relevant experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk to perform job scope
- Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing
Skills
- Knowledge of workforce development or career counseling services
- Knowledge of local communities, labor market, and resources
- Proficiency in computer systems and programs (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets)
