About the Role

KIPP Public Schools Northern California PE Teachers design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and create inclusive classrooms. Teachers integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices while collaborating with leadership to strengthen their practice and advance the organization's commitment to anti-racism and equity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with academic vision
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety and high expectations
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders
• Engage fully in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Valid teaching credential in the subject area OR eligibility for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit
• CPR certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross (if applying for specific permits)
