About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a (Senior) Planning Engineer for Overhead Line Systems to join their Rail Infrastructure team in Germany. This role involves contributing to the improvement of quality of life through engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized planning services, including mast site and catenary routing, geometric design, static calculations for foundations and masts, and drawing creation.
• Coordinate with all involved trades in planning projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and calculations.
• Participate in the tendering process.
• Identify contractually owed services and distinguish them from non-contractual services (additional services).
• Attend site inspections.
• Apply and further develop BIM methodology, AutoCAD, ProSig, BIM, ProVI, iTWO, and MS Office.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in planning (rail) infrastructure projects, construction phases, and preparing bills of quantities.
• Experience using planning tools such as AutoCAD, ProSig, ProVi, Microstation with OL-Designer.
• BIM knowledge.
• Knowledge of railway operations and technology, as well as HOAI, VOB, and current legal regulations.
