About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a Planning Coordinator / Project Manager (w/m/d) to join their Mobility team. This role involves leading and monitoring key projects, ensuring they meet cost, time, and quality objectives while managing external resources and serving as a key point of contact for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor essential projects or sub-projects (internal and external services) in terms of technical and temporal aspects, adhering to contractual and budgetary frameworks, including active change order management.
- Achieve project goals within budget and timeline constraints.
- Manage and execute quality-assured and customer-oriented (sub-)project processing by coordinating, steering, and monitoring planning processes and resources.
- Act as a competent contact person for all internal and external project stakeholders and involved employees.
- Monitor deadlines.
- Participate in change order management and conduct project controlling.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Support project acquisition efforts.
- Maintain business contacts, especially with planning industry cooperation partners.
- Perform coordination tasks as a client or general contractor towards clients and partners.
- Develop a proposal for identifying training needs and contribute to the training plan based on market requirements.
- Lead projects across locations in the planning of railway infrastructure projects through all service phases of HOAI.
- Coordinate and perform performance/quality control of external service providers to ensure project results.
- Conduct internal quality assurance.
- Prepare offers with support from regional/branch management or central sales, including calculations by evaluating planned services, considering potential implementations and risks.
- Control adherence to and implementation of QM processes in specialist planning.
- Work with CAD systems.
- Steer technical employees.
Requirements
- Completed technical/university degree in the relevant field or equivalent knowledge.
- Proven expertise in railway infrastructure planning.
- Very good knowledge of railway technical standards, regulations, and laws.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in leading planning teams.
- Several years of professional experience as a planning engineer.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in CAD systems for processing digital planning documents.
- Proficiency in common office applications and tendering software, possibly SAP.
- High social competence.
- Teamwork skills.
