About the Role

As a Senior Planning Coordinator / Project Manager National (m/f/d), you will lead and monitor essential multidisciplinary projects, ensuring adherence to contractual and order-related budget frameworks, including active change order management. You will be responsible for achieving project goals within cost and schedule constraints, steering quality-focused and customer-oriented project execution by coordinating, managing, and overseeing planning processes and resources. You will serve as a competent point of contact for all internal and external project stakeholders and involved employees, monitoring performance and deadlines, managing contracts and change orders, and coordinating project controlling. Additionally, you will handle client relations, particularly with key accounts, contribute to the company's expertise in project planning and management, support project acquisition, and foster business relationships with planning industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor essential multidisciplinary projects (internal and external services) as a senior planning engineer in terms of expertise and deadlines, adhering to contractual and order-related budget frameworks, including active change order management.
  • Achieve project goals while adhering to the cost framework and project deadlines.
  • Steer and execute quality-oriented and customer-focused project processing by coordinating, managing, and monitoring planning processes and resources.
  • Act as a competent point of contact for all internal and external parties involved in the project and for involved employees.
  • Monitor performance and deadlines.
  • Manage contracts and change orders, and coordinate project controlling.
  • Maintain client relationships, especially with key accounts.
  • Expand the company's expertise regarding the planning and management of projects.
  • Support project acquisition and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Develop and maintain business contacts, particularly with cooperation partners in the planning industry.
  • Lead planning projects across multiple locations for complex (multidisciplinary) railway infrastructure projects in all service phases of HOAI.
  • Coordinate and perform performance/quality control of external service providers to ensure project results.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance.
  • Prepare offers, including cost calculations, by evaluating the planning services to be provided, considering all possible executions and risks.
  • Control the adherence and implementation of QM processes in specialist planning.
  • Work with CAD systems for processing digital planning documents, master common office applications and tendering software, and potentially SAP.
  • Develop a proposal for identifying training needs and contribute to the development of the training plan based on market requirements.
  • Manage technical employees.

Requirements

  • Completed technical/university degree in the relevant field or equivalent knowledge.
  • Extensive expertise in railway infrastructure planning and good market knowledge.
  • Very good knowledge of railway engineering standards, regulations, and laws.
  • Relevant experience in project management.
  • Experience in leading planning teams.
  • Many years of professional experience as a planning engineer.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • High social competence.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Professional, service-oriented demeanor when dealing with clients.
