About the Role
Monitor building traffic, communicate with tenants, visitors, and staff. Complete end-of-shift and incident reports, write work orders, enforce project policies consistent with fair housing regulations, and maintain a neat reception area. This role is at a PSH site with TCAC, LOSP, NPLH, and PHA.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages, and make emergency calls.
- Assist with office tasks including work orders, comment cards, and visitor violation forms.
- Inform visitors of policy, check IDs, and manage sign-ins/outs.
- Complete incident reports for unusual building activity.
- Distribute resident mail daily.
- Provide coverage for absent desk clerks.
- Undergo annual tuberculosis testing and follow Exposure Control Protocol for bloodborne pathogens.
Requirements
- Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly individuals with special needs (a plus).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing guidelines.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
- Strong awareness, urgency, and problem-solving skills following established procedures.
