About the Role
This key role aims to ensure the quality, compliance, and performance of the supplier cycle, while actively contributing to process transformation (standardization, automation, and AI initiatives). You will oversee daily accounts payable operations and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt to payment.
- Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax and regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships across Canada (French and English speakers).
- Supervise and develop a finance technician and the BPO team.
- Ensure effective coordination with internal teams (finance, operations, procurement, etc.).
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Actively contribute to process automation and optimization initiatives (including AI).
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in accounts payable, with excellent command of the full cycle.
- Proven experience in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Good understanding of Canadian taxes (GST/QST, etc.).
- Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory, with the ability to interact in both languages.
- Experience with an ERP (Dynamics 365 highly desired).
- Excellent command of Excel (analysis, modeling, data extraction).
- Knowledge of Power BI, Coupa, and/or MediaOcean (asset).
