About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful generalist to support our Operations team for the summer. This role involves actively contributing to real processes, identifying and resolving inefficiencies, and taking ownership of company event planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Map existing operational processes across finance, HR, and security, and identify opportunities to streamline.
- Explore and propose automation solutions using tools like Claude, Google Apps Script, and no-code platforms.
- Support the build and ongoing refinement of company dashboards for operational metrics visibility.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external company events, managing logistics, communications, and vendor coordination.
- Gain hands-on exposure to bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Help maintain accurate budgets and financial records.
- Support the maintenance of our ISO 27001 compliance programme, keeping documentation, policies, and evidence logs current.
- Help prepare the business for SOC 2 certification, including gap analysis support and control documentation.
Requirements
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to make an impact.
- Comfortable using AI tools (especially Claude) to solve problems.
- Confident writing and running basic code if needed.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Genuine interest in how early-stage companies operate and scale.
