About the Role
This role involves building and owning Known's global experiential client relationships, sitting at the intersection of data-grounded strategy and impactful work. The VP, Client Experience, Experiential will serve as the senior relationship lead, ensuring exceptional client partnership, business outcomes, and delivery. Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating new opportunities for Known's experiential offering, making the case for Known, and stewarding client relationships. This position has an immediate mandate, starting with an existing high-profile experiential account while simultaneously building the pipeline and practice. The role requires close collaboration with the SVP, Experiential, contributing to the offering's growth in capability, client base, and team. The ideal candidate thrives in an early-stage, high-stakes environment and understands the demands of live, on-the-ground work.
Responsibilities
- Own the senior client relationship on Known's anchor experiential account, setting standards for engagement.
- Identify and pursue new client relationships through experiential entry points, building a pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- Actively explore Known's existing client portfolio for opportunities to deepen brand investment with live or physical activations.
- Study each client's business to understand underlying pressures and opportunities beyond immediate briefs.
- Integrate Known's full capabilities (science, strategy, media, creative) into client relationships to expand possibilities.
- Clearly and proactively communicate client relationship health and trajectory, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with the SVP, Experiential to build the practice, including positioning, sales, staffing, and delivery standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years in experiential marketing, with significant time in a senior client-facing or business development agency role.
- Proven track record of building client relationships from scratch, converting them into engagements, and fostering growth.
- Deep fluency in experiential program production, from concept to delivery, to credibly represent work to senior clients.
- Strong, current network of brand-side marketing decision makers in New York and the broader market.
- Ability to connect Known's data, creative, media, and strategy capabilities to client needs beyond experiential requests.
- Strategic advisor's instinct to offer unrequested insights that enhance partnership.
- Clear understanding and acceptance of experiential work demands, including pace, travel, and physical presence.
