About the Role
Join Wedgewood Weddings & Events as a Full-Time Event Manager, a leadership role focused on creating unforgettable guest experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee event setups, coordinate with vendors, direct event staff, manage event timelines, and ensure flawless execution.
- Support, coach, and inspire event staff to deliver exceptional hospitality and exceed guest expectations.
- Anticipate potential issues and troubleshoot quickly and professionally to maintain smooth event operations.
- Serve as the primary on-site leader, resolving concerns promptly and ensuring couples and guests feel supported.
- Uphold rigorous health, safety, cleanliness, and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar hospitality leadership role.
- Wedding and event experience strongly preferred.
- Flexible, open availability including early morning events, evening events, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to manage event setups, shifting timelines, client interactions, and team leadership in a high-energy environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team with a hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong eye for detail and event aesthetics.
- Passion for delivering flawless experiences and creating lasting memories.
- Ability to lift and move chairs and tables, assist with event setup and breakdown, and remain active throughout events.
- Regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Availability for shifts exceeding 8 hours and workweeks exceeding 40 hours.
