About the Role

The Alternatives Sales Senior Associate supports Alternatives Account Managers in business development and investor relations for PIMCO’s alternative investment products. This role involves assisting with strategic campaigns and fundraising, serving as a subject matter expert for US Global Wealth Management teams, servicing existing clients, educating advisors, and supporting new business initiatives. The associate will interact with senior leadership across various departments, prepare for meetings, draft briefing memos, manage CRM queries, maintain reporting, respond to questionnaires, and undertake special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert on PIMCO’s alternative products to effectively address client and prospect inquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners, including Field and Internal Sales, PSG, Marketing, Legal & Compliance, becoming a trusted partner.
  • Assist with business development efforts by helping to manage key relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to client service by responding promptly and with urgency to both internal and external requests.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Develop and implement consistent, repeatable processes to enhance confidence in analysis and operational efficiency.
  • Use effective time management skills to ensure quality and attention to detail, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Foster a sense of teamwork, assisting others when needed or required.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with key vendors such as iCapital, CAIS, and +Subscribe.
  • Query, analyze, and maintain business information reports to support internal reporting needs.
  • Effectively utilize advanced tools including Excel (spreadsheets and macros), PowerPoint, CRM, and external databases for various special projects.
  • Prepare for meetings and draft briefing memos.
  • Manage CRM queries.
  • Maintain pipeline and business reporting.
  • Respond to questionnaires.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Possess Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in fundraising for PIMCO’s alternative products.
  • Established and strong relationships across PIMCO’s Internal and Field Sales teams.

Experience Level

Education Level

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting
  • Actively pursuing a CFA or CAIA designation (favorable consideration)

Salary/Compensations

  • Base Salary: $125,000.00 - $140,500.00
  • Discretionary bonus determined by company, business, team, and individual performance
