About the Role

The Director of Product & Platform Central Finance will shape strategy and advance the product strategic finance function. This role involves partnering with the business for key deliverables, collaborating with other product and platform finance teams, and developing a strategy and roadmap for product strategic finance. Responsibilities include creating consistent approaches for deliverables and driving efficiencies through centralization, standardization, and automation of common processes. The Director will partner with C-Level executives and peer finance leaders, collaborating with FP&A, accounting, tax, IR, and treasury, while also attracting, developing, and retaining corporate finance talent.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistent industry and product level topline reporting, forecasting, and root cause analytics.
  • Design and maintain a consistent portfolio approach to optimize product investment allocation.
  • Establish and evolve pricing and packaging analysis playbooks to support pricing and promotion decisions.
  • Develop processes and templates for Autodesk’s financial long-range and annual planning by industry and product.
  • Evolve the product hierarchy for internal and external reporting.
  • Drive automation of repeatable product and platform finance processes.
  • Contribute to Board and CEO-Staff materials for strategic and annual planning.
  • Develop playbooks for financial modeling and evaluation of M&A deals.
  • Centralize, standardize, and automate headcount and spend processes.
  • Design organizational structure and develop a team of top performing finance professionals.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in strategic finance roles, especially in financial planning & analysis, ideally at a large public software company.
  • Proven experience in product and go-to-market/corporate FP&A.
  • Proven experience in partnering with C-Level executives at large public companies.
  • Experience in finance support of M&A deals.
  • Experience in both SaaS and Consumption business planning, operating, reporting, and pricing & packaging.
  • Strong accounting and financial planning process and systems leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of excelling in high-performance, analytic, and data-driven cultures.
  • Skilled at working across multiple levels, from high-level strategy to disciplined process leadership of complex planning cycles.
  • Solution-driven, innovative, and creative mindset.
  • Zero-defect and principles-first mindset.
  • Ability to be hands-on where needed.
  • Proven track record of financial systems, process & tools improvement/automation.
  • Strong people leader with proven experience managing global teams and building & elevating high performing teams.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.

Salary/Compensations

  • Starting base salary: $149,000 - $267,410
  • Compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
