About the Role

This Insights Associate Manager role supports insight generation and analytics delivery for the North American eCommerce business. The position involves aggregating data, identifying patterns, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Operating in a matrixed global environment, the role requires strong analytical fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously. This role bridges cleaned data and business context, ensuring accurate, relevant, and effectively socialized findings, with projects ranging from established reporting to multi-quarter, multi-data domain initiatives. The Insights Associate Manager will partner with the Senior Analytics Engineer to validate data accuracy, support analytics tooling, and contribute to pilot analytics initiatives, enhancing trust and adoption of analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, performance drivers, and emerging risks or opportunities across the North American eCommerce business.
  • Translate data into clear, structured insights and recommendations to support decision-making across merchandising, eCommerce, and cross-functional teams.
  • Socialize insights through synchronous (presentations, readouts) and asynchronous (decks, written summaries, reporting outputs) formats, ensuring clarity and usability for stakeholders.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc analysis needs, improving visibility into business performance and key drivers.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and structure data for analysis and reporting.
  • Use LLM and SLM tools and prompting techniques to accelerate analysis, summarize outputs, and improve insight communication efficiency.
  • Partner with the Senior Analytics Engineer to validate data accuracy, confirm metric definitions, and ensure consistency across datasets and reporting outputs.
  • Support testing and validation of analytics datasets, dashboards, and tooling to ensure reliability and usability.
  • Champion adoption of reporting tooling and platforms.
  • Contribute to pilot analytics projects by supporting data validation, analysis, documentation, and communication of results.
  • Identify data inconsistencies or quality issues and partner with technical stakeholders to investigate and resolve root causes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of analysis, assumptions, and outputs to support transparency and repeatability.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in analytics, business intelligence, or insights roles.
  • Background in eCommerce, digital, merchandising, or marketing analytics is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including ability to write, debug, and optimize queries independently.
  • Comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets.
  • Familiarity with building BI dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience fostering adoption of reporting solutions within business teams.
  • Comprehension of medallion data architecture and star schemas.
  • Experience using LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis acceleration, summarization, or workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis.
  • Strong pattern recognition and hypothesis-driven thinking.
  • Experience identifying drivers of performance and proactively recommending solutions.
  • Comfort working with incomplete data and forming directional recommendations.
  • Ability to clearly articulate insights in both live and asynchronous formats across differing audience levels.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset, especially with analytics engineering and cross-functional business counterparts.
  • Advanced degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience operating within a global organization with European headquarters and North American teams.
  • Demonstrated experience translating analysis into executive-ready materials (e.g., decks, business recaps).
