About the Role

As part of the Fever Originals team, the Location Scout uses data and insights to create unique events and experiences, supporting Project Managers and Producers to deliver high-quality experiences. This role requires flexibility, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines within budget. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in assessing spaces, building relationships, and managing vendors and stakeholders, with experience leading teams, tracking performance, and synthesizing information.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Originals, Operations, Production teams, and Project Managers to bridge communication between internal and external stakeholders, providing a holistic view of venue options.
  • Conduct due diligence of base buildings.
  • Strategize and prioritize high-volume venue sourcing requests within demanding cross-regional time frames.
  • Source venues aligning with Producer’s concepts and designs, conduct site visits, and collate documentation to assess feasibility from experiential and financial perspectives.
  • Ensure design intent is correct and evaluate how design decisions impact budget and schedule.
  • Contact venues and communicate with Project Managers regarding initial fees, lease agreements, and terms with venue owners.
  • Assist Project Managers in obtaining fire and safety, ADA, and other governmental permits, and coordinate production logistics.
  • Oversee venue-related issues across multiple large projects and maintain standards for smaller events.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities with venues, providing production teams with insights for budget-conscious and operationally sound event planning.
  • Develop and maintain venue databases.
  • Oversee the return of venues to their original condition post-project, working with production companies or suppliers.
  • Represent Fever at site visits, meetings, and local events.
  • Be responsible for sourcing and securing venues that enhance audience experience through authenticity and visual flair.
  • Manage the facilities requirements of venues.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in property or venue negotiations, facilities management, or live event production management.
  • Ability to assess buildings and spaces.
  • Experience building relationships and working with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading a team, tracking performance, and synthesizing a wide array of information.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on approach, and eagerness to demonstrate ownership.
  • Mix of business development and operational experience.
  • Passion for the entertainment/events industry.
  • Comfortable delivering results in an ambiguous environment.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to think strategically about creating compelling experiences.
  • Experience with negotiating venue contracts and/or live events production management.
  • Basic knowledge of reading floor plans, RCP, and technical drawings.
  • Real Estate experience with strong connections with brokers and/or agencies.
  • Willingness to explore different cities to build a portfolio of unique venues.
  • Domestic and international travel and work across time zones may be required.
  • Experience in architecture, real estate, or set design is a plus.
