About the Role

As a Demo Engineer, you will build AI-powered demo infrastructure to support the Solutions Consulting team. You will design and build environments, applications, and AI-forward experiences that educate enterprise buyers on Airtable's capabilities. The quality of your work directly influences deal outcomes, positioning you at the intersection of engineering, creativity, and business storytelling within the pre-sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable library of Airtable apps and components for customer-facing engagements.
  • Build AI-forward demo experiences showcasing Airtable's AI capabilities, including agents, automations, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Stay current with the AI landscape and integrate new perspectives into demo builds.
  • Identify and standardize high-impact demo and internal builds into deployable library assets.
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants and Account Executives to create story-driven demos mirroring real customer workflows with industry-specific data.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to integrate new Airtable features into demo assets upon launch.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, enablement materials, and agentic tooling for SC team customization and deployment.
  • Support live customer evaluations by rapidly customizing or extending demos based on evolving technical requirements.
  • Continuously improve demo coverage, quality, and reusability based on field feedback.
  • Drive efficiencies to reduce Solutions Consultant time spent on asset creation.

Requirements

  • 0–4 years of experience in a technical role such as solutions engineering, software development, business intelligence, or technical consulting.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, pride in crafting clean solutions, and excitement for AI possibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Ability to build sophisticated Airtable bases, including multi-table schemas, linked records, rollups, formulas, views, and interface designer pages.
  • Understanding of relational data principles.
  • Hands-on experience with AI agents and MCP for building, QA, and maintaining demo assets.
  • Exposure to APIs, webhooks, and basic integration patterns (Zapier, Make, REST APIs).
  • Comfort with automation logic, including conditional workflows, triggered actions, and multi-step sequences.
  • JavaScript literacy to read, evaluate, and verify AI-generated scripts.
  • Judgment to determine appropriate use of Airtable Scripting extension or API versus simpler solutions.
  • Ability to build with the end user in mind, ensuring assets are usable and extensible by Solutions Consultants.
  • Clear communication skills with non-technical collaborators.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and independent prioritization.
  • Possess a growth mindset, actively seeking feedback and iterating quickly.
