About the Role

This is a clinical support role focused on accurate, real-time medical documentation and compliance. Social media responsibilities are integrated but must not interfere with patient care, clinic flow, documentation, or regulatory requirements. All social media activities require pre-approval, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to organizational policies, with clinical duties always taking priority.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and thoroughly document all components of medical visits and procedures as performed by the physician.
  • Record patient medical history, physical examinations, procedures, treatments, and education provided by healthcare professionals.

  • Prepare referral letters and operative reports as directed by the physician.
  • Perform clerical tasks including faxing, phone calls, and coordination of referrals as assigned.
  • Identify and correct inconsistencies or errors in medical documentation; ensure all addenda are reviewed and signed by the physician.
  • Record all clinical data, test results, and physician interpretations accurately in the medical record.
  • Alert the physician when charts or documentation are incomplete.
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA standards and confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Attend required training sessions related to IT systems, HIPAA, billing, coding, and compliance.
  • Proofread and edit all physician documentation for accuracy, spelling, grammar, and formatting.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and workflow demands as needed.
  • Support physician social media and digital presence through the creation, editing, and production of approved content, in alignment with organizational branding, professional standards, compliance, and patient privacy requirements.
  • Shadow the physician and clinical team, as appropriate and approved, to capture content while maintaining professionalism in a clinical setting.
  • Assist with filming and content capture for approved platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
  • Track and report basic engagement metrics and content performance, as requested.
  • Balance clinical documentation and social media responsibilities in alignment with scheduling priorities and operational needs, with clinical documentation taking precedence.

Requirements
