About the Role

As a key member of the Commercial South team, you will be the commercial lead on the Biscuit Factory project in Bermondsey, reporting into the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders and detailed scopes of works for the project.
• Procure all contractor trade packages.
• Manage contractor accounts, including raising payments, reviewing variation claims, and settling final accounts.
• Review drawing changes.
• Approve Site Instructions & CCF’s where appropriate.
• Produce valuation reports to advise of cost movements and report to the Board of Directors quarterly.
• Implement the commercial function in line with the Commercial Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Attend design team meetings.
• Conduct detailed package review meetings and drive value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare all contract documentation and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain financial accountability for the project budget.
• Collaborate with the Project Team for operational and financial delivery.
• Manage and delegate work to Junior Members of the Site Commercial Team, if applicable.

Requirements

• Capable of working independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work as part of the wider project team.
• Excellent communication skills for daily interaction with Technical, Sales, Construction, Buying, and Finance teams.
• Very good commercial acumen.
