About the Role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Metasys Controls Specialist to play a key role in shaping the future of smart buildings for Microsoft’s global campuses and datacentres. This is a high‑impact, global engineering role where you will lead first‑of‑kind (FOK) software development, define global standards, and influence how building automation systems are designed and delivered worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate first‑of‑kind Metasys software, integrations, and advanced control strategies.
  • Define and maintain global standards including templates, engineering guidelines, SOOs, and DOOs.
  • Provide technical governance through design reviews, quality assurance, and best‑practice alignment across regions.
  • Partner closely with Microsoft engineering teams, Johnson Controls R&D, cybersecurity, and global delivery organizations.
  • Support complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of controls solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Building Automation System such as Johnson Controls Metasys platforms (SNE/SNC, NAE/NCE, CCT, SCT, ADX/ADS).
  • Solid background in HVAC controls engineering, BAS design, and sequences of operation.
  • Proven experience delivering innovative or first‑of‑kind building automation or controls solutions.
  • Clear communicator with strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate across global, cross‑functional teams.
