About the Role
In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of components and auxiliary parts, as well as prepare components and tools according to work instructions.
- Inspect components for contamination and damage using various light sources, microscopes, magnifiers, and other testing equipment.
- Clean components with suitable solvents when required and document defects according to work instructions, e.g. through photo documentation and checklists.
- Carry out in-process measurements using different measuring and testing equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, measuring microscopes, pressure and leak testers.
- Prepare, evaluate, and store measurement data in accordance with manufacturing documentation and document production results.
- Create quality notifications and maintain measuring devices and measuring machines according to maintenance and cleaning plans.
- Prepare, package, and ship components for external processing or internal customers according to work instructions.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a technical vocational training program, ideally as a precision optician or microtechnologist.
- Relevant professional experience in the inspection of optical components.
- Ability to confidently read and understand technical drawings.
- Willingness to work in cleanroom and shift environments.
- Experience handling solvents.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.

Salary/Compensations
- Remuneration in accordance with the IG Metall collective wage agreement (company-specific collective wage agreement) including 13th month’s salary and variable remuneration components
