About the Role

The Country Sales Manager leads the APAC Sales Team in Australia and New Zealand, driving passenger sales, marketing, and revenue growth. As the senior market representative, this role oversees commercial performance, digital sales transformation, and stakeholder relations in alignment with the company's New Frontier strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market strategies aligned with the New Frontier vision.
  • Deliver revenue, yield, and market share targets.
  • Identify and capture growth opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategic actions.
  • Drive sales across all segments to achieve profitable growth.
  • Lead negotiation and management of commercial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and contract processes.
  • Manage budgets with financial discipline.
  • Lead digital-first sales across direct channels including web, mobile, and NDC.
  • Drive adoption of modern distribution capabilities.
  • Champion innovation in customer engagement and commercial models.
  • Apply data-driven approaches to optimize pricing and value proposition.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Strengthen capabilities in digital sales, analytics, and account management.
  • Provide coaching to enhance commercial effectiveness.
  • Align closely with HQ and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson in the market.
  • Provide insights on customer trends, competitors, and market developments.
  • Ensure effective execution of B2B and B2C marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the company to government, trade, and industry partners.
  • Build strategic partnerships with tourism boards, government, and industry players.
  • Leverage partnerships to drive inbound travel to Canada.
  • Align local execution with global strategy in collaboration with HQ.
  • Engage local Canadian communities to enhance brand presence.
  • Serve as the official company representative, including power of attorney.
  • Oversee local personnel, administration, and financial responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and corporate standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in business, tourism, or a related field.
  • Proven sales leadership experience, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record in revenue growth.
  • Experience in digital sales, distribution, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influence, and partnership development.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of offer.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
