About the Role
Content design at Our Future Health involves understanding complex health information, designing clear, useful, and trustworthy experiences, and empowering individuals to participate in health research. This role extends beyond writing copy to shaping decisions through evidence and insight, designing end-to-end experiences.
Responsibilities
- Designing clear, accessible, and useful content and experiences across products and services.
- Taking ownership of content within a product squad, understanding problems, and shaping solutions in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering.
- Collaborating with internal teams such as Researchers, Scientists, Ethics, and Community Engagement to shape design decisions.
- Contributing to discovery work, workshops, journey mapping, and experience design activities.
- Improving information architecture, navigation, hierarchy, and user flows.
- Using evidence, research, and data to test and iterate on content decisions.
- Championing inclusive and accessible content design practices.
- Helping teams think more clearly about content, structure, and overall user experience.
- Adopting a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, managing priorities, and balancing delivery realities.
- Contributing to Content Operations and standards.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Content Designer within a product or service design environment.
- Good understanding of content design beyond microcopy, including information architecture, navigation, content strategy, taxonomy, and flows.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to product thinking and outcomes.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and make sense of ambiguity.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment, managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder feedback.
- Pragmatic mindset and a proactive approach to task completion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with diverse organizational levels and subject matter experts.
- Experience in framing problems, influencing decisions, and aligning teams.
- Good understanding of accessible and inclusive content design.
- Curiosity about people, behavior, and the impact of evidence on experiences.
- Experience in healthcare or a regulated environment is a plus.
