About the Role

Frontend Platform is a multi-disciplinary product group that builds shared frontend systems, tools, and standards. We partner closely with product, engineering, design and UX to provide the foundations that power Kraken Customer. We own key cross-cutting capabilities like frontend architecture/developer experience, design tokens and UI patterns, instrumentation standards, and access/permissions patterns.

Responsibilities

• Work on the primary system which powers all of Kraken’s clients’ customer support operations.
• Manage access control, determining which users have permission to do what.
• Contribute to internationalization efforts to ensure Kraken is available in everyone’s native language.
• Improve accessibility to make Kraken software usable for everyone.
• Develop embedded applications, allowing clients to integrate their own applications within Kraken.
• Expand the existing component library into a holistic design system and translate it to UX patterns within the app.
• Create reusable tools to enable software engineers across Kraken to own the entire lifecycle of an application’s development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience is ideal.
• Django / python experience or equivalent server-side framework/language experience.
• React JS experience or equivalent framework experience.
• Experience working with SQL databases, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Curiosity to work on a wide variety of tech/products across the entire stack.
• Takes initiative, is self-organized with an attention to detail.
• Ability to own work and act as their own driver in a remote-first environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
