About the Role
This role involves performing transactional duties to serve members by accurately receiving and paying out funds. It requires providing cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures, presenting and explaining basic credit union products and services, and representing the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy.
- Provide cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
- Present and explain basic credit union products and services to members.
- Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members, ensuring a balanced cash drawer daily.
- Cross-sell other member services.
- Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
- Assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
- Train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
- Train to verify checks for other tellers.
- Train to perform overrides.
- Be cross-trained to help in other positions within the branch.
- Attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess problem-solving skills.
- Possess organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
- Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
- Develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures related to this position.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.

Work Type
- Full-time
- 40 hours/week
- Weekdays
- Every other Saturday
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
- Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM
Experience Level
- Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
Education Level
- High School diploma or equivalent.
