About the Role

Maintain vault inventory for Loomis customers, including receiving, verifying, sorting, dispersing, and accounting for cargo items. This is an unarmed position.

Responsibilities

• Verify identifying numbers or seals on cargo against receipts or listings.
• Count items, record amounts and serial numbers, and process documentation.
• Load and unload cargo from wagons or flatbed carts.
• Sort cargo items by route.
• Communicate with co-workers and customers via telephone.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing an average of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to push wagons, carts, buggies, and dollies loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
• Unrestricted ability to repetitiously bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn, and reach.
• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for approximately 80% of the shift and walk continuously between work areas.
• Ability to maintain stooped or squatting positions for several minutes.
• Ability to sign, record numbers by hand, make entries on records, and prepare reports.
• Ability to count, add, subtract, and balance columns of numbers.
• Ability to read and speak English to converse with co-workers and customers, and to read documents.
• Ability to work in a vault room with limited outside light exposure.
• Successful completion of a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) including:
• Lift and Carry: Transfer precious metal bars up to 70 lbs and boxes up to 50 lbs, up to 600 items per 8-hour shift, across various heights and distances.
• Push-Pull: Horizontally transfer boxes using a manual pallet jack with up to 60 lbs force for up to 70 feet, up to 4 times daily.
• Couple: Grasp or squeeze handles with up to 30 lbs force, up to 20 times per shift.
• Climb: Ascend and descend steps (7 inches, up to 15 times/shift) and pallets (24 inches, up to 2 times/hour).
• Repetitive Posture: Maintain static squatting or stooping postures for up to 1 minute, up to 4 times per hour.

Skills

• Strong organization skills.
• Forklift driving certification (desired).
• Verbal communication skills.
