About the Role

The Social Content Producer is responsible for content creation to support brand awareness and audience engagement for year-round priorities and the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. The ideal candidate excels in on-the-spot thinking, possesses excellent verbal and written skills, strong community management abilities, a deep passion for film, and is immersed in social media trends and pop culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop best-in-class social content across all social media channels to support year-round programming, Festival, and organizational initiatives.
  • Support in the copywriting and scheduling of corporate partnership content.
  • Support the content team with social media coverage of Festival events, including content capture and event photography.
  • Support production of vertical videos, film stills, quote cards, stacked images, and Letterboxd lists with a strong curatorial eye.
  • Assist other members of the team with proofreading, fact-checking, and publishing content.
  • Support other social media initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Proactively and reactively respond to audiences to steward online relationships, monitor brand sentiment, and grow online reputation.
  • Assist in the development of social assets using provided templates.

Requirements

  • Must have a love and curiosity around film, filmmaking, and a strong understanding of the film industry.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience managing large social audiences and driving social performance.
  • Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada at this time.
  • For individuals on time-limited Visa status, the Visa must allow completion of the full contract.
