About the Role
Innovate, build, and maintain critical backend features for CrowdStrike's Kestrel UI platform. This role supports unifying security data, streamlining access, and personalizing user experience to help customers 'Stop the Breach'. The work enables UI engineers to leverage the CrowdStrike platform effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services.
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables.
- Triage and debug system issues by analyzing sources and impact on service operations.
- Mentor web and backend engineers on feature service usage.
- Re-evaluate products to improve architecture, testing, knowledge models, user experience, performance, observability, and stability.
- Partner with product teams to understand needs, document requirements, and implement new features.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Ability to scale backend systems, including sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
- Desire to ship code and see it run in production.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
- Ability to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested, code-reviewed software with regular check-ins for continuous integration.
