About the Role

BCG X is a collective of technology and digital experts from Boston Consulting Group, responsible for building businesses and products using technology and data. We combine strategic consulting knowledge with advanced expertise in AI, software engineering, product development, and UX design to support client transformation from conception to implementation and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Act as an engineering expert to address critical management challenges for client companies across various industries.
• Develop and implement concrete products and solutions by leveraging deep understanding and design/construction capabilities in cutting-edge technologies, particularly AI.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internal/external stakeholders to understand client business challenges and contribute to value creation through proposing and building solutions using technology (especially Generative AI and Cloud).
• Engage in practical development across a wide range of technical topics, considering the unique infrastructure and operational environments of each client, to build robust and highly efficient systems.
• Propose technology selections and best practices based on knowledge of the latest technological trends and future prospects, and elevate the technical level both internally and externally.
• Contribute to value creation by proposing and building solutions that utilize digital technologies (especially Generative AI and Cloud) while understanding client business challenges.
• Select technology stacks and lead the development process consistently, including web/mobile apps, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure, according to project scope, client environment, and constraints.
• Lead DevOps/MLOps implementation and QA to ensure development efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate agilely with multidisciplinary teams (PM, Data Scientists, Designers, Consultants, etc.) and bridge a wide range of perspectives, including UX, data models, and business models, with technical viewpoints.
• Form development teams, including contractors, lead agile development, and achieve rapid hypothesis testing and business impact creation within limited timeframes.
• Communicate technical approaches and their effects on business challenges clearly and understandably to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the establishment of systems for clients to properly operate the developed systems and models.
• Propose technology selections and best practices with knowledge of the latest technology trends and future prospects, and raise the technical level both internally and externally.

Requirements

• This position is for experienced professionals through mid-career recruitment only.
• Experience in production-quality agile software development and operation within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in building web/mobile front-ends, back-ends, and cloud infrastructure.
• Coding skills in Python, TypeScript, etc.

Skills

• Generative AI development experience
• Development experience for large-scale services or enterprise SaaS
• Experience handling structured and unstructured data such as RDB/NoSQL and streaming data
• Understanding of DevOps/MLOps
• Experience in production implementation of large-scale data analytics, analytical models, and workflows
• Experience in building good client relationships and negotiating requirements
• PMO experience, including project progress and issue management, and meeting facilitation
• Management experience in multidisciplinary teams
• English proficiency at a conversational level or higher
• Ability to understand the business situation of clients and devise solutions based on it.
• Ability to apply advanced development and analysis methods to real business and achieve results.
• Flexible, proactive, and creative critical thinking skills.
• Emphasis on teamwork and professional execution of duties.
• Willingness to learn the latest methods and tools in unfamiliar fields.
• Ability to visualize and explain complex technical concepts and ideas in an understandable way for non-experts.
