About the Role

As a Local Feasibility Lead in Cell Therapy at AstraZeneca, you will manage national feasibility activities for clinical trials, contributing to the successful implementation of studies and making innovative therapies available to patients. You will act as the primary contact for feasibility matters within Germany, developing and executing local recruitment and retention strategies.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management of all national feasibility activities for clinical trials in Cell Therapy.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for feasibility topics within Germany.
  • Develop and implement local recruitment and retention strategies based on feasibility data.
  • Assess study feasibility considering country-specific requirements, healthcare reality, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local stakeholders (e.g., Study Teams, Medical Affairs, Site Partnerships) to ensure successful study planning and execution.
  • Analyze internal and external data to create realistic and efficient recruitment forecasts and strategies.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality provision of feasibility responses for study start decisions.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans within the study context.
  • Promote best practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Support training and coaching of local study teams.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in clinical trials / Clinical Operations.
  • In-depth experience in patient recruitment and feasibility strategies.
  • Proven experience in project and stakeholder management in a complex environment.
  • Very good knowledge of regulatory requirements (ICH/GCP) and the clinical trial execution process.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent work style.
  • Excellent communication, assertiveness, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
