About the Role

This role leads the field service domain, supporting the social implementation of robot systems. Responsibilities include deployment, on-site repair, technical troubleshooting, safety awareness, quality improvement, and maintenance system development. As a key player in a rapidly expanding robotics business, you will drive operations with high ownership in both technical and operational aspects from the front lines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment, on-site repair, technical troubleshooting, safety awareness, quality improvement, and maintenance system development.
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Department Head to handle complex cases, standardize technology, improve operations, manage partners, and enhance quality.
  • Engage directly in the field to resolve issues, improve quality, and provide technical support during deployment and on-site repairs.
  • Liaise with Integration and Development teams to solve field issues and enhance robot maintainability and operability.
  • Develop systems for large-scale robot operations, focusing on safety, quality, and organizational strengthening.
  • Improve deployment quality and stable operations in collaboration with managers and field members.
  • Organize and support problem-solving for complex field issues and technical troubles.
  • Standardize and optimize deployment operations, designing and improving operations for scaling.
  • Provide technical support and advanced troubleshooting for on-site repairs.
  • Analyze defects, implement corrective actions, and promote recurrence prevention measures.
  • Improve operations to enhance work quality and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze issues and provide feedback to the development team.
  • Promote standardization and operational improvements originating from the field.
  • Continuously improve costs based on unit economics.
  • Drive improvement activities and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance team engagement.
  • Collaborate with Integration and Development teams on technical issues and solutions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external partners and vendors on technical and operational matters.
  • Lead teams of managers, implementing the department's overall direction.
  • Develop managers and members, provide technical support, and lead complex case handling.
  • Drive recruitment and organizational strengthening for rapid business expansion.
  • Foster a Field Services culture that ensures safety, high quality, and operational uptime.

Requirements

  • High ownership for field issues, with the ability to make independent judgments and take action.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of robots, equipment, machinery, electrical systems, FA equipment, or manufacturing equipment.
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency (N2 or higher) for communication with store staff and internal members.
  • Valid driver's license (manual transmission required) for transportation and on-site support.
  • Flexibility to work irregular shifts, including night shifts.
  • Ability to drive improvements and systemization while understanding field operations.
  • Persistence and speed in addressing complex challenges.
  • Ability to achieve results as a team by engaging others.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on work as a player-manager.
  • Experience working with high autonomy in a startup environment.
  • Experience communicating in English or handling technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with and promoting projects across multiple departments (development, operations, external partners, etc.).
  • Experience in work standardization, improvement activities, and quality enhancement.
