About the Role

Wolt is seeking a senior Android Engineer to join the Consumer Mobile Platform team. This team is responsible for the consumer mobile apps used by millions globally and is an AI-first team focused on integrating AI-assisted workflows. The role involves building the foundation of top-rated consumer apps, enabling product teams, driving technical initiatives, and supporting product development with a robust platform.

Responsibilities

Building the foundation of our top-rated consumer facing applications
Enablement of our product teams, architecture and platform robustness, observability, developer experience, and more.
Driving technical initiatives to foster our engineering excellence
Aligning with multiple stakeholders
Supporting product development teams by providing a robust platform that makes it simple and fast for our features to reach our millions of customers
Integrate AI-assisted developer workflows
Build developer tooling & guardrails for AI assistants
Measure & maintain reliability of AI-assisted outputs through observability, testing and review policies.

Requirements

Experienced in Android development
Understanding of the Android ecosystem and platform
A strong interest in building a maintainable and extensible Android platform
End-to-end system design understanding
Experienced with CI/CD pipelines
Strong communication skills
Stakeholder management
Familiar with driving initiatives across an engineering organisation
Experience/strong interest in mobile observability
Have an eye for great user experience
Enthusiasm for AI-first development; you use AI tools and can judge when they help.
Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows (e.g., code assistants, CI automations).
