About the Role
Coordinate the purchase, shipment, receipt, and recording of IT hardware and related services across the APAC region, ensuring engineers can focus on data centre delivery.
Responsibilities
- Translate infrastructure demand into purchase requisitions, approvals, orders, and receipts with correct financial coding and compliance.
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including vendor quoting, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery.
- Maintain proactive communication with vendors and forwarders regarding lead times and deliveries, escalating potential timeline risks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across the hardware lifecycle for reliable reporting.
- Partner with central Procurement and Accounts Payable within their frameworks.
- Improve workflows by designing clearer handoffs, reducing manual steps, and optimizing system usage.
Requirements
- Experience in purchasing, procurement operations, logistics coordination, or supply chain, ideally in technology, hardware distribution, or financial services.
- Comfortable working with modern procurement or ERP tools (e.g., Coupa).
- Strong discipline around financial coding, approvals, and receipts.
- Ability to manage multiple vendor and shipment threads concurrently.
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized when managing multiple orders and stakeholders.
- Interest in working alongside infrastructure engineers and understanding hardware/service context.
