About the Role

Our engineers are responsible for the infrastructure underpinning all of Optiver's trading and non-trading activity, including office networks and a complex WAN environment. We provide a reliable, fast, and well-supported network and Unix platform to run our core business, requiring a deep understanding of both technical network challenges and broader business problems. The team thrives on collaboration, solving complex problems with simple solutions, and continuously optimizing reliability, capacity, scalability, and latency.

Responsibilities

Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments in Asia Pacific data centers, including network and security platforms.
Drive research, innovation, and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimizations.
Build, manage, and support the international LAN/WAN & security environment using modern tooling in an IaC environment.
Collaborate with developers, researchers, and hardware engineers on projects requiring a stable and scalable platform.
Automate, monitor, and benchmark various networks and systems.

Requirements

10+ years of working experience as a senior network engineer or architect with proven on-box experience, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex LANs and WANs.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Campus LAN networks, ideally on Arista and Cisco products.
Experience in managing network systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodology.
Experience working in a multi-zone, multi-tier firewall architecture across APAC.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Data Center environments.
Experience administrating Unix systems.
Experience in monitoring and managing diverse international WAN networks.
