About the Role

Join Optiver's High-Frequency Trading (HFT) team as a Senior Software Engineer to design, improve, and execute fully automated trading strategies using machine learning. Lead complex technical projects, shape trading infrastructure, and drive technical progress. Work on challenging algorithmic problems, owning the end-to-end process from data to production execution, building robust systems for scalable research and low-latency machine learning models across thousands of financial instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Establish technical vision and direction for machine learning-driven trading systems in futures and equities.
  • Partner with researchers to solve complex, high-value business problems.
  • Build and maintain end-to-end trading infrastructure, from research to production.
  • Push frequent, impactful code changes to production.
  • Contribute to Optiver's pricing, research, and trading models from ideation to implementation.
  • Ensure programs adhere to coding, architectural, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Experience leading large-scale projects.
  • Solid engineering instincts and deep understanding of computer science fundamentals.
