About the Role
BaptistCare is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to join their team at Macquarie Park. This role involves keeping sites operating smoothly and looking their best, supporting the Maintenance Team Leader with planned and reactive maintenance, gardening, inspections, and general property upkeep to create safe, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance and gardening tasks
- Carry out physical inspections of buildings and grounds
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant
- Work safely and uphold WHS standards
- Deliver service with empathy, patience, and respect
Requirements
- Previous property or maintenance experience
- A current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Basic computer literacy
- A commitment to safe work practices
- Empathy and patience when working with older people
- Alignment with BaptistCare’s Christian identity and values
- Successful candidates will undergo background checks including a national criminal history check, reference checks, and where applicable, WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, and a pre-employment medical.
