About the Role

Level Infinite is Tencent's global gaming brand, offering a comprehensive network of services for games, development teams, and studios worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Lead user research across multiple AAA and mobile game titles at different stages of the product lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, Operations, and Marketing to support research needs.
  • Design and execute high-quality, fit-for-purpose research plans based on business needs.
  • Independently manage the full research process, including stakeholder alignment, problem analysis, research objective definition, methodology design, data analysis, and report writing, delivering actionable insights with real business impact.
  • Conduct industry and competitor analysis, identify market trends, uncover product opportunities and player needs, and provide valuable strategic perspectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of user research experience in the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of the full game development lifecycle from production to launch.
  • Familiarity with player behaviors across China and major overseas markets (US/EU, Japan/Korea, Southeast Asia, etc.).
  • Fluent in both Chinese and Japanese, with the ability to use both languages as working languages to support day-to-day communication and research collaboration with Japan market teams, players, and vendors.
  • English proficiency is a plus, including the ability to independently write research reports in English and communicate with overseas teams and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to recommend appropriate methods based on product stage and business needs.
  • Vendor management experience, with the ability to manage key milestones and deliverables across all project stages, independently handling the full process from briefing to delivery, including timeline and budget management.
  • Excellent logical thinking and report-writing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Passion for gaming, with deep hands-on experience across various game genres, especially console and premium single-player titles.
  • Understanding of game development, operations, marketing fundamentals, and player psychology is highly valued.
  • Strong learning agility, communication skills, and self-motivation.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Salary/Compensations

  • Salary: Negotiable (with raises/bonuses)
  • Includes fixed overtime pay for 35 hours/month for general employees and 10 hours/month for management.
