About the Role

Responsibilities

Complete and maintain operational tasks.
Oversee and coordinate route and dispatch functions.
Control operational costs.
Ensure employee, vehicle, and facility safety through training, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
Maintain cargo and terminal security through training, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
Investigate accidents and process required paperwork.
Develop and maintain customer service capabilities among all operations staff.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
Coordinate with sales, other branches, departments, District and corporate staff, other carriers, and vendors.
Control overtime hours.
Monitor employee vacation schedules.
Maintain effectiveness and efficiency of operational functions.
Conduct short- and long-range operational planning to meet branch goals.
Communicate with employees to resolve outstanding issues and complaints.
Complete additional responsibilities assigned by the Branch Manager or Management Team Members.
Possess knowledge of transit vault, coin vault, and CMS operations.
Consult with and accept advice/direction from the Operations/Branch Manager daily.
Train, counsel, discipline, conduct, and evaluate employees daily.
Communicate with customers regularly.
Communicate with sales and administration regarding service updates, customers, and payroll issues as needed.
Assume limited responsibilities during the absence of the Operations/Branch Manager as needed.
Direct operations to meet broad branch objectives within policy guidelines.
Direct vault operations, including structure, scheduling, procedure establishment, and policy enforcement.
Ensure branch profitability related to quality and efficiency of operations, keeping costs within guidelines.
Control losses through effective risk management, training, supervision, and discipline.
Control damages and injuries through safety programs, training, supervision, and discipline.
Maintain a high level of observable safety, security, and effectiveness in operating practices and equipment use.
Lead by example, modeling appropriate behaviors and regularly observing/monitoring route activities and crew needs.
Facilitate self-development and subordinate development through on-the-job and other training.
Analyze complex factors to decide appropriate actions and resolve situations not covered by set policies or procedures.
Ensure proper daily vault balancing for each shift.
Complete monthly commitments as assigned by Operations/Branch.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of operations experience in a vault, cash, or coin processing environment.
Excellent analytical and math skills with accuracy.
Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems.
Familiarity with computerized timekeeping systems and cash processing equipment (preferred).
Ability to work extended hours, some Saturdays, and some holidays.
Ability to maintain a stooped or squatting position for several minutes for sorting.
Ability to walk continuously between bins, vaults, booths, and counters.
Ability to stand on a concrete floor approximately 80 percent of shift.
Ability to sign and record numbers by hand, make entries on records, and prepare reports.
Ability to meet State requirements for handgun license/permit or Security Officer Commission.
Successful completion of a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
Ability to perform a 25lb vertical lift from 10 to 66 inches from the floor (1X).
Ability to perform an 18lb vertical lift from 1 to 44 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X).
Ability to perform an 18lb vertical lift from 10 to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X).
Ability to perform a 50lb vertical lift from 10 to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X).
Ability to horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm) a distance of 1ft (2X).
Ability to repetitively squeeze a Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs with both right and left hands (4X each).
