About the Role

The Manager, Exams & Audits- GRM is responsible for the ongoing management of regulatory examinations in the APAC region, specifically Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of regulatory examinations and internal audits across assigned regions.
  • Oversee all aspects of exam and audit processes, including planning, coordination, documentation, execution, and follow-up activities.
  • Manage relationships with regulators, examiners, 3rd parties and internal auditors to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of all exam and audit materials, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Track audit/exam findings, including violations, monetary penalties, and remediation actions for Global Compliance.
  • Develop and prepare formal responses to regulatory and internal audit issues in partnership with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional team and senior leadership, communicating results, risks, and required actions.
  • Partner with Accounting, AML Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to investigate issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Ensure consistency and uniformity in the presentation of regulated business activities to regulators and auditors.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Compliance field.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in a regulatory capacity, with a comprehensive understanding of legal terminology.
  • Must be familiar with legal and financial terminology to effectively interpret and understand requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, extract, and apply information from sources such as law libraries, local statutes, and regulatory materials.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IPS/WU/OV regulatory experience required.
  • Proven experience in communicating complex regulatory concepts, both in writing and verbally, to legal and non-legal audiences.

Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities.
  • Highly multitask-oriented, with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced PC proficiency, including database management, data extraction, query handling, and preparation of ad hoc reports.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with experience engaging with state regulators, examiners, external customers and clients, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for industry-related seminars and meetings with business partners.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented.
