About the Role

ResMed is seeking a Lead AI Enablement Scientist to accelerate the development of AI solutions for sleep apnea and other sleep-related conditions. This strategic role involves assessing data readiness, identifying data needs, and enabling faster AI product development by working at the intersection of data science, product, healthcare, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AI/ML product teams and Data Science leaders to understand use cases, priorities, and business goals.
  • Assess new and existing data sources to determine data availability, quality, linkage feasibility, and label readiness.
  • Lead early-stage data discovery for AI/ML initiatives, identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with data platform, warehouse, and engineering teams to clarify data access pathways and reusable data needs.
  • Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Medical Affairs, Product, and other stakeholders to determine feasibility and support decision-making.
  • Recommend data labelling, outcome definition, and new data collection strategies to unlock high-value use cases.
  • Build shared understanding of available data assets, labels, and practical constraints across teams.
  • Produce clear discovery assessments and help teams move faster with better data decisions.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • PhD with 3+ years, or Master’s with 7+ years of relevant industry experience in data science, data engineering, or a similar field.
  • Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and conducting exploratory data analysis.
  • Solid foundation in data processing and statistics.
  • Experience with time-series data, including segmentation, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud/data platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
