About the Role

Create an inviting, inspiring, and motivating group exercise experience by delivering pre-choreographed or freestyle programs to members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Coach pre-choreographed or freestyle group sessions and classes to diverse members in person or virtually.
  • Present group sessions and classes to ensure members feel welcomed, encouraged, and challenged.
  • Ensure high-quality and safe group sessions by educating members on proper techniques and guidelines.
  • Increase member attendance through strong teaching and motivational skills.
  • Coach a minimum of 2 classes per week.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through positive interactions with members and guests.
  • Handle member concerns or escalate to club management.
  • Report broken equipment and maintenance needs to club management.
  • Recruit new members for classes.
  • Start and finish group sessions on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized club by organizing equipment and assisting with upkeep.
  • Find appropriate substitutes for class coverage following company policy.
  • Maintain a strong social media presence to attract new participants to classes and special events.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical activities including lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, hopping, jumping, kicking, prolonged standing, and walking.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to work in an occasionally loud environment.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Skills

  • Knowledge of safe exercise techniques and principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse individuals.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to fostering community in group sessions.
  • Passion for fitness and helping others achieve health and wellness goals.

Experience Level

  • Previous group exercise instruction experience (preferred).

Education Level

  • Current approved group exercise primary certification for taught format.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
