About the Role

The Child Development Center is seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in a supportive, play-based environment. This role focuses on helping young children learn and grow, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC and Texas Rising Star standards.
  • Work with the Lead Teacher on assessments, classroom materials, and individual child skill development.
  • Support children's learning by implementing lesson plans.
  • Communicate effectively with families, both verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with parents/guardians.
  • Build positive relationships with families and co-teachers.
  • Serve as a positive role model for all children.
  • Encourage language development through age-appropriate activities.
  • Actively engage with students and participate in classroom activities.
  • Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of classroom experience in early childhood.
  • Passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Love for children and a desire to make a difference.
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team.
  • Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various teaching styles and children's needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage children in a group setting.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Must meet all Texas DFPS and HHSC requirements.
  • Must pass state and national criminal background checks.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25-30+ pounds.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to move, bend, reach, and physically navigate the classroom.
  • General computer proficiency.

Salary/Compensations

  • $22-23 per hour
