About the Role
The Child Development Center is seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in a supportive, play-based environment. This role focuses on helping young children learn and grow, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC and Texas Rising Star standards.
- Work with the Lead Teacher on assessments, classroom materials, and individual child skill development.
- Support children's learning by implementing lesson plans.
- Communicate effectively with families, both verbally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain strong communication with parents/guardians.
- Build positive relationships with families and co-teachers.
- Serve as a positive role model for all children.
- Encourage language development through age-appropriate activities.
- Actively engage with students and participate in classroom activities.
- Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of classroom experience in early childhood.
- Passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment.

- Must meet all Texas DFPS and HHSC requirements.
- Must pass state and national criminal background checks.
- Must be able to lift/carry 25-30+ pounds.
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to move, bend, reach, and physically navigate the classroom.

Salary/Compensations
- $22-23 per hour
