About the Role

Join our team as an After School Teacher for elementary enrichment programs in Southwest Austin. This role offers a chance to build meaningful relationships, create unforgettable experiences for kids, and make a daily difference. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun enrichment program where kids are active, learn life skills, and build community.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supervise planned activity centers, free play, and facilitate games emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Lead engaging activities allowing students to explore new talents and build skills, including sports, arts and crafts, painting, science and engineering, gym games, sewing, and cooking
  • Provide mentorship to students and foster positive relationships with students and parents
  • Serve as a teacher and positive role model to students
  • Ensure student health and safety, and compliance with licensing rules and regulations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and be physically active for long periods
  • Meet all TDFPS requirements
  • Reliable transportation
  • Pass a state-run criminal background check before employment

Skills

Experience Level

  • 1+ years of work experience or experience working with children (preferred)

Education Level

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (provided)

Salary/Compensations

  • $21 - $22 per hour, depending on education and experience
