About the Role

The Child Development Center seeks energetic, creative, and loving Lead Threes and Pre-K Teachers to join its teaching team. As an NAEYC accredited, 4-Star Texas Rising Star non-profit preschool, the primary focus is on children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Teachers and Education Directors to implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum following NAEYC, Texas Rising Star, and Texas Pre-K/Kindergarten guidelines
  • Manage and support Assistant Teachers through collaboration, modeling, and frequent communication
  • Complete developmentally appropriate assessments of each child
  • Communicate with families, both verbally and in writing
  • Build positive relationships with parents and coworkers
  • Maintain confidentiality of all staff, children, and families
  • Demonstrate respect for diverse families and cultures
  • Be physically active to monitor and participate in children's games and movement activities
  • Individualize for each child
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Lead classroom teaching experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or EC Special Education
  • Passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • Value play-based learning
  • Love for children and desire to make a difference in their lives
  • Commitment to professionalism
  • Strong desire to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience managing others and being a team player
  • Minimum of 1+ years of lead classroom teaching experience
  • Meet all TDFPS and THHSC requirements
  • Pass state and national background checks
  • Ability to lift/carry at least 25+ pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods and be physically active within the classroom
  • Ability to bend down
  • General computer proficiency

  • $55,000 - $63,000+ per year, commensurate with experience and education
