About the Role

This hands-on, field-facing role supports customers across global deployment sites. It is ideal for a journeyman-certified trades professional with experience in mission-critical data center environments, direct liquid cooling systems, hydronic systems, or HVAC/plumbing infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager of Field Service Operations, this position is responsible for on-site installations, preventative and corrective maintenance, technical training, and remote support, serving as a subject matter expert across the product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site and remote installations of direct liquid cooling (DLC) products at customer facilities worldwide.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on DLC systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Provide expert technical support to Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) and end-user technicians.
  • Offer plumbing and HVAC consultation to internal cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues following established service processes.
  • Develop and deliver technical training to customers, service technicians, and internal staff.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise across the product portfolio.
  • Coordinate and dispatch field service visits with end users and Authorized Service Providers.
  • Support Project Engineering by sourcing accurate quotations from ASPs.
  • Complete thorough service documentation, including field reports, system testing records, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure field activities comply with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment on every site.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a field service or equivalent technical role with project workflow understanding.
  • Journeyman Certification in pipe trades (Plumbing, HVAC, Steam Fitting, or similar); strong expertise in hydronic systems preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical cooling system loops and configurations.
  • Experience in mission-critical environments, including Tier 3 or Tier 4 data centers.
  • Proficiency with pipe materials and joining methods (plastic fusion, Victaulic piping, clamping, torquing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation.
  • Valid passport with eligibility for international travel and security clearance.
  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting of up to 150 lbs with a partner.
  • Maintain a functional remote home office setup.
  • Availability to travel up to 65% of the time, including internationally.
