About the Role
Lead engineering teams for Shipt's Last Mile Delivery and Gig Platform, partnering with Product, Data Science, and Operations to scale Grocery and Package delivery. Manage and mentor engineers, oversee technical design and implementation, and establish a vision and roadmap for efficient, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and management to engineering teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Transform the organization into leaders in AI Native development.
- Maintain a technical roadmap and align efforts with business objectives and customer needs across delivery logistics and platform onboarding.
- Partner on technical strategy for software development projects, including architecture design, code quality, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with deep knowledge of software development methodologies, architectures, and technologies.
- Fundamental understanding of logistics, delivery scaling, or identity and onboarding platforms.
- Experience designing and delivering distributed, highly available, large-scale, high-performing applications in an agile environment.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive alignment between technology efforts and business objectives.
- Ability to manage complex roadmaps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire engineering teams, manage performance, and drive results.
- Experience managing budgets, operational plans, engineering priorities, and team performance expectations.
