About the Role
The Broker Assistant provides operational support to the brokerage team, handling day-to-day tasks efficiently. This role ensures seamless daily operations, regulatory compliance, and effective team communication, working closely with brokers to complete transactions through paperwork processing and inter-departmental coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing and coordinating day-to-day brokerage operations.
- Support the implementation and improvement of operational procedures.
- Coordinate with brokers to prepare documents for marketing renewal business.
- Provide administrative support in filing, printing, and archiving documents.
- Administer and accurately update new and current client information in all required systems.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of client accounts, transactions, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations.
- Perform customer service by responding to broker requests via telephone, email, chat, or in person.
- Contribute to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations.
- Collaborate across broker and finance teams on business requirements.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating operational risks.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to implement controls.
- Support the Brokerage team with ad hoc tasks and requests.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment.
- Active Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain within 45 days of employment.
- 1+ years of Commercial insurance experience.
