About the Role
The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) works closely with the clinical staff to ensure patients receive quality care and service. Partnering with onsite Hearing Care Professionals, the HCC supports referring physicians and patients. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting with clinic support needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
- Schedule follow-up hearing tests, consultations, and weekly evaluations via outbound calls to current and former patients
- Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Complete benefit checks and authorization for patient insurance
- Provide first-level patient support, answer questions, manage patient check-in/out, and process payments
- Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
- Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
- Apply general sales knowledge for accessories and patient support
- Process patient orders, receive and verify pickups, and input information into the system
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Submit equipment and facility requests
- Perform general office duties, including cleaning
- Manage inventory, monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
- Assist with event planning and logistics for at least one community outreach event per month
Requirements
- Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids (preferred)
- 2+ years in a health care environment (preferred)
- Previous customer service experience is required
Skills
- Professional verbal and written communication
- Strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- EMR/EHR experience (preferred)

Salary/Compensations
- $19.00-20.00 per hour + Sales Incentive Program
