About the Role

Drive member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service through maintenance and cleaning tasks, ensuring a healthy, clean, and orderly facility.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all club areas including locker rooms, weight area, cardio, office space, hallways, and stairs.
  • Clean and dust all weight and cardio equipment.
  • Restock supplies.
  • Empty club garbage and recycling containers.
  • Complete daily and weekly scope of work as assigned.
  • Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Clean and maintain wet areas of the club, if applicable, including pool deck, pool vacuuming, steam room, sauna, and regular pool chemical testing.
  • Perform minor cosmetic repairs on equipment (e.g., rust removal, touch-up paint, re-labeling).
  • Partner with Facility Technician for equipment cleaning duties as outlined in the preventative maintenance guide.
  • Perform minor painting as approved/directed by General Manager and Facilities Technician.
  • Use janitorial supplies according to product labels and club manuals.
  • Report all newly identified facility maintenance issues via Service Channel.
  • Report any member complaints to the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Six months of janitorial experience.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands and arms.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external members via telephone.
  • Required usage of cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to loud noise levels.
  • Ability to travel from club to club.
