About the Role
BuildOps develops groundbreaking software for commercial contractors, reimagining service management and project execution. As a Senior Product Manager, Platform, you will transform our industry-leading platform, enabling new scale and continued innovation. You will partner with customers to understand their needs, translating them into solutions that drive measurable outcomes for both customers and the business. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership, with accountability for customer-driven KPIs and business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and roadmap for the entire Platform, driving strategy and execution with a cross-functional squad.
- Lead cross-functional teams on platform optimization efforts to increase squad velocity and product quality.
- Engage directly with enterprise and SMB customers to uncover needs, validate solutions, and solve real problems.
- Design solutions with near-term value and long-term scalability, articulating tradeoffs to internal stakeholders.
- Leverage AI and ML to explore and ship innovative experiences that materially improve velocity and quality.
- Align the roadmap with company objectives by collaborating with other Product Managers, Customer Success, Sales, and Implementation.
- Lead go-to-market and change management for your domain, communicating priorities and partnering with Customer Success for successful rollouts and adoption.
- Run effective beta programs with early adopters, capturing feedback to refine experiences before broader release.
- Define and track KPIs that improve platform value and support revenue and retention goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
- 3+ years in Product Management for B2B SaaS.
- Experience leading complex cross-cutting platform initiatives.
- Experience building end-to-end product experiences, including prototyping and solution development with AI coding assistants.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise software considerations (workflows, features, non-functional requirements).
- Mission-driven mindset, motivated by complex, real-world challenges faced by commercial subcontractors.
- Experience working in a technical environment.
- Basic SQL skills.
- Proficiency in analytics tools to inform decisions.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Track record of working effectively with engineering and design in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience partnering closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, CS, Implementation, PS).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to shape product strategy and day-to-day prioritization.

- $170,000.00 - $210,000.00 base + annual bonus opportunity (LA/SF)
