About the Role

Supports and maintains environmental, health, safety, and facility operations programs. Ensures compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company safety policies, and facility maintenance standards. Promotes a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment. Collaborates with management, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and employees to support safety initiatives, coordinate training, maintain documentation, and oversee facility-related projects and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain company safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate and track required employee safety training.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments throughout the facility.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, SDS binders, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Emergency Action Plans.
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation drills and safety meetings.
  • Ensure safety signage and postings are current and properly displayed.
  • Monitor compliance with company safety rules and report violations to management.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and incident follow-up.
  • Coordinate vendor services related to safety compliance and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain chemical inventories and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance requests and repairs.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors for building maintenance and services.
  • Monitor building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.
  • Assist with maintaining facility cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain facility-related records, permits, and service contracts.
  • Support office moves, workstation setups, and facility improvement projects.
  • Assist in managing waste disposal and recycling programs.
  • Ensure common areas, break rooms, and exterior grounds are maintained appropriately.
  • Coordinate snow removal, landscaping, pest control, and janitorial services as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000 & ISO 45001 environments.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and facility vendors.
  • Forklift certification knowledge or experience.
  • Ability to walk throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and facility issues as needed.
  • Compliance with ITAR requirements; must be a "U.S. Person" (per ITAR 120.15) and provide proof upon hire.

Experience Level

  • 2–5 years of EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
