About the Role

Join the AI Detection and Response (AIDR) team to design and build next-generation user interfaces. Surface AI security insights from a platform processing millions of events per second across petabytes of critical data. Work at the intersection of AI security and modern web development, empowering security teams to detect and respond to sophisticated AI-based threats. Create interfaces used 24/7 by security professionals protecting organizations from advanced adversaries.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performance, single-page web applications in JavaScript (Ember.js) to visualize AI security detections, alerts, and response workflows at scale.
  • Own features end-to-end, collaborating with UX designers and product managers from requirements to delivery.
  • Build reusable UI components and shared libraries to accelerate development across the AIDR product group.
  • Integrate with AIDR's cloud-native backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC) for real-time data experiences.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, focusing on performance, accessibility, testability, and security.
  • Write comprehensive automated tests for UI feature reliability and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to root cause analysis and preventive improvements.
  • Mentor team members on UI best practices, testing methodologies, and accessible interface development.
  • Continually learn about evolving AI security and cybersecurity challenges.
  • Architect enterprise-grade solutions that scale seamlessly.
  • Drive operational excellence through rapid issue resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive system improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering teams to drive testing best practices.
  • Deliver with velocity while maintaining high standards of security and reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience building high-quality, production web application UIs.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with modern frameworks (Ember.js, React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Strong HTML & CSS skills, including experience with pre/post-processors (Sass, PostCSS) and CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS).
  • Experience integrating UI applications with REST or gRPC APIs and working with real-time or high-volume data.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (QUnit, Mocha, or Jest).
  • Knowledge of and interest in developing accessible interfaces.
  • Comfortable with Git or similar version control systems and workflows.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers to deliver quality software.
  • Ability to undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Three.js), especially for security dashboards or real-time event streams.
  • Familiarity with client-side build tools (Ember CLI, Webpack, Vite).
  • Experience with UI performance measurement, profiling, and optimization.
  • Experience with web accessibility testing and support.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI, or Azure).
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity or security-focused products.
  • Prior experience building enterprise SaaS products.
  • Experience with real-time data systems (Kafka, Pulsar) from a UI integration perspective.
  • Contributions to open source libraries or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and security challenges.
